This painting was created as a study of technique, experimentation and simplicity. I was exploring a more fluid paint texture than I usually use, and I wanted to keep it quite clean ad minimal (for me anyway!). The moon and star are outlined with opal glitter and coated with iridescent medium so they have a luminous, ethereal glow as they hover over a beach-inspired pour. Named after a scene in one of my favourite nostalgic movies, “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead.”
